Poomse Seminar

February 24th 10am – 1pm

What is Poomse (poom-say)?  A sequence of movements including blocks, attacks / counter attacks and stance work.  What is it used for?  Simply put it is used to improve our basics and further our understanding of martial arts.

Do you need help with your new form?   Are you feeling rusty with your forms in general?  Or perhaps you want to fine tune them?  Well that is exactly what this training is for!

This seminar is broken up into three separate one hour long training sessions and will be held at the Goffstown Parks&Rec:

10am-11am = Black belts poomse seminar.  (For black belts who already know  all of their TaeGeuk forms.)  Refresh forms, learn or practice current form as well as learn tips on how to teach forms to others.

11am-12pm = Adult poomse seminar.  Refresh forms and or learn more of their current ranking form.  All gup (color belt) ranks.

12pm-1pm = Kids poomse seminar.  Refresh forms and or learn more of their current ranking form.  All gup (color belt) ranks.

Students who wish to attend will need to sign up with Master Andy as well a pre-pay for the seminar.  Cost = $10 per student.  Black belts who stay to help may attend seminar for free.

Family Movie Night!

March 10th from 6pm-9pm we will be holding a family movie night at the Goffstown Parks&Rec.  Currently we are leaning towards showing The Last Dragon, an action comedy filmed in 1985 (rated PG-13) or The Princess Bride.   Master Andy is open to suggestions.  This event is $5 per person or $10 per family.

We will provide the space and the movie, please bring your favorite snacks and drinks with you.  If you are interested or if your family is interested please sign up and pre-pay with Master Andy before or after class.  Thank you!

March Belt Testing

March 31st at the Goffstown Parks&Rec we will be holding our first test of this new year!  10am-12pm is for children students and 1pm-3pm is for adult students.  Please remember to wear your full uniform if you have one.  As we get closer to this date, Master Andy will send out more information and reminders.

Falling Seminar &

Basic Takedowns and Throws Seminar

Let’s make use of our new matts!  We will be holding a Basic Knok-bok (falling) seminar on April 14th from 10am-1pm at the Goffstown Parks&Rec.  10am-11am will be used for children students and 11:30am-1pm for adult students.  What does falling mean for us?  It means training ourselves to fall in such a way to cause as little to no damage as possible.  Falling practice helps us for regular mundane falls as well as when an opponent throws us.  Cost for event is $10 per student.

On April 21st we will hold what is basically part two of the falling seminar:  Basic Takedowns and Throws Seminar.  The time slots will be the same as the above.  However, in order to attend this event you must have participated in the falling seminar.  Students will put their falling practice to the test while learning how to do maneuvers like:  the leg hawk, reverse leg hawk, hip toss, overhook and underhook.  Cost for this seminar is $20 per student.

As we get closer to this event, Master Andy will send out reminders as well as start a sign up and pre-pay list.
