Happy New Year!!!

Classes start today! January 6th, 2020

It’s 2020 and we all have a chance to start the year off right and in a positive direction! For the school, we will bemaking some small changes here and there. Stocking belts, changing how we do apparel orders, and some curriculum changes to name a few.

I’m excited about the new year and to see what positive changes we can make in ourselves and how we train. Focus on your goals and work hard, but don’t forget to have fun too. In fact, that should be a goal for some of us adults, have fun!

Black Belt Ceremony
January 25th, 2020
4pm to 7pm

This will be our 4th Annual Black Belt Tea Ceremony. It will be held at our normal location, the Goffstown Parks & Rec. This ceremony is to honor all of our black belts; old and new, for their hard work and accomplishments at our school.

Some quick reminders:

  • Be on the lookout for the pot-luck list both in class and on our facebook.
  • Make sure you have a formal uniform to wear (white uniform with black collar).
  • Visiting black belts who might not have a uniform can still participate in the tea ceremony. While this is not a white or black-tie event, it is somewhat formal. Please dress appropriately.
  • Arrival time will be 4pm with the ceremony starting at 4:30.

This is my favorite event of the year and I’m very excited. I hope you are!

The Case of the Hoodie Order

Those of you who ordered hoodies, I’m sure you have noticed that I have not mentioned them at all during our break. That’s because we had another hang-up/snag. But it has been solved and the order is finally underway. From having to switch hoodies due to sizing issues and then the wrong hoodies arriving, we have been very frustrated. We are very sorry and truly thankful for your patience and understanding.

This is also why I mentioned changing how we do apparel orders in the future. From now on, I will do all the designing and ordering without an order form. Ordering a set amount etc. I used to do this for uniforms and shirts but stopped at I didn’t have room for all the items at my home. But our new storage area is evolving quickly and I think I will be able to handle their storage from now on.

See you all in class!
