Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend! As promised, below are new links for our virtual classes with Zoom. For those of you who do not know about our virtual classes, let me explain a bit. We have one kids class a day and one teen/adult class a day. Classes last approximately 45 minutes and have many of the usual exercise/drills that we would do in class together. While not as good as training with each other in person, they help to keep us active, focused, and provide some “normalcy” (as many parents have pointed out to me). I am currently not charging for classes, but if students want to continue to pay tuition or to make a donation they can use the email address below with PayPal or Venmo.
(as a reminder, please use this email address to contact me via email)
A huge THANK YOU to all the students/families who have continued to pay tuition and or make donations to the school. I am a very lucky teacher and humbled by your loyalty and generosity.
Schedule/Links for classes:
Kids, Open Rank (all levels) 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM
Teens/Adults, Open Rank 7:00 PM – 7:45 PM
Password (unchanged): !JinDo-20!
I will post the actual links on our Facebook page and change the links on our main site as well.
I want to give our kids a chance for a little bit more fun in class, so every so often I will theme a week as an optional fun thing for kids to participate with. This week, in honor of the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire, will be Renaissance Faire Week! Don’t know what to dress up as? Well here are some ideas: nobility (king, queen, prince, princess, etc), warriors (knights, archers, etc), or maybe a sneaky rogue (like I play at faire)! Ren faires tend to be fantasy so monsters, mages, paladins and like are of course great options. No need to be period accurate and please make sure you can still train in your costume/garb.
Because I feel like I should have thought of this idea sooner, next week will also be themed. A little easier to pull off I think as well. Silly Hat Week! Pretty sure I don’t need to explain. HA!
The New Hampshire Renathon
This upcoming Saturday is the last day of the NH Renathon. For those of you who don’t know, I am on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire which is a charity event that raises money for the NH Food Bank and Rockingham Meals on Wheels program. We had to cancel our faire this year and so we are putting on this virtual event. Interested in checking it out? I will provide a link below. Please note, this is streaming on Facebook and you will need a Facebook account to view it.
Want to know more about the faire in general? Here is a link to our main site: www.NHRenFaire.com
New Hampshire Renaissance Faire Facebook Page. (brings you to Facebook.)
(On the day of the event, just scroll done and click on the live stream.)
To everyone who checked it out this last Saturday, Thank You! If you donated, THANK YOU!
Well, that’s it for now, I hope we all have a great week.
