Testing!
Testing will be at the end of the month, during the week of March 27th. We will continue with finishing all of the tests during the week and at regular class times, with the first week of April being used for make-up testing. I will be passing out the children’s stripe sheets this week so they can earn permission from parents and teachers. Please get them back to me asap.
I wasn’t able to record the children’s self-defense techniques last week but will make sure to get them recorded, edited, and uploaded this week.
Friendly Reminder
It is now March, and tuition is due for our classes at the Goffstown Parks & Rec. Also, this is the first week of the new session at the YMCA, if you haven’t signed up yet, please do that as soon as possible. Thank you, everyone!
U.S. Olympic TKD Championships!
AKA The Tiger An’s Tournament
We are two months away from the U.S. Olympic TKD Championships in May, a tournament put on by Tiger An’s TaeKwonDo and the An family. This tournament is a great intro to competing in TKD/martial arts, and I encourage all students to consider competing no matter their age or rank. What would you compete with or in? This tournament is for poomsae (forms) and kyukpa (breaking) only (no sparring). Most of our younger beginner/intermediate students are encouraged to try breaking, while older students who have a good amount of poomsae experience could do either forms, breaking… or both!
I would love to have at least 5 or 6 competitors, a few black belt judges, and some black belt coaches. If you are interested in competing and or helping out as a judge or coach, please let me know asap. Also, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Below, I have listed links for more information about the tournament, as well as links for registrations etc. Black Belts, do NOT register as a referee/judge or coach without speaking with me first. There are many things to go over with those positions and I want to make sure you know what you are getting into.
Before registering/signing up, please let me know first so we can talk about your interests in the tournament. Those of you interested in competing, we need to start training this month, so please speak with me soon.
