Hi there everyone! I am very sorry for the lateness of getting the Black Belt Ceremony date and times to you. But I’ve got a date for everyone, a little bit short notice, but I wanted to try and make sure I can accommodate our black belts who are home from college. That being said, our 2024 Black Belt Tea Ceremony will be on Sunday, January 7th, 2024. Please note that I will be shooting for the first weekend of January from now on.
The ceremony itself will start at 6pm and the entire event will probably be done by 8pm. It will, of course, be held at the Goffstown Parks & Recreation. All of our black belts are welcome to attend, whether in uniform or not. If you attend in a uniform, you will line up with everyone else and go through the normal ceremony traditions. Please let me know if you will be attending and if you will be in uniform or not (black belt uniforms only… white with black collar).
We will also be doing our normal potluck for this event. So please let me know what you can bring (napkins, plates, utensils, appetizers, drinks, main dish, dessert, etc.). I will start a post on our FB page for the potluck to help keep track. Don’t use Facebook? No worries, just shoot me a text message, email, or speak to me and I will let you know what everyone else is doing.
Again, I am very sorry that this is a bit short notice. I am excited about the ceremony though can’t wait to award our new Dan belts their new embroidered belts!
Testing Fee
Just a reminder that there are still a good amount of you who owe the testing fee ($15 for belt testing, $10 for refresher testing). Please check the testing sheets, if I didn’t check it off, you may still owe. I know I won’t see a lot of you today, so paying in the new year is fine as well. New Years
We’ve had a great year and I am excited for next year. I can’t wait to see everyone grow stronger and go up in rank! Who knows, I might even be testing myself?! As a reminder for students: Parks & Rec. students we start classes back up on January 4th (sparring), and we start our YMCA classes back up on January 8th, 2024.
