YMCA Students Take Notice,
I am feeling worse today and unfortunately need to cancel classes for Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
There is a good chance that Friday’s classes may be canceled as well, but I will keep everyone informed as soon as I know more. The YMCA has confirmed that all students will receive credit for any missed classes.
My sincere apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your understanding.

No Classes Today, 2/10/26, at the Goffstown Parks & Rec.
Hello everyone,
Please note that TaeKwonDo classes at the Goffstown Parks & Rec are canceled for today, Feb. 10th, 2026.
I may have picked up a cold at the Faire this past weekend, and both my wife and I are not feeling well. With some snow expected tonight, it’s best to play it safe and cancel classes this evening.
YMCA students, I felt fine yesterday and tested negative for COVID today, but I wanted to keep you all informed just in case. Hopefully all will be well for tomorrow, and classes resume as normal (I will mask up as a precaution). But I will keep you all informed of course, thank you for your understanding.

There will be no classes this Friday, February 6th, 2026. This date was already built into the schedule. I will be traveling north that day to help at the Vermont Winter Renaissance Faire.
My apologies for any inconvenience or lack of communication, and also for having classes canceled two Fridays in a row.

Additionally, there will be no classes at the YMCA on Monday, February 16th, 2026. This date was removed from the schedule in advance and was already accounted for in tuition. As always, you are welcome to attend a make-up class at either Goffstown Parks & Rec or the YMCA, as listed above.

To all the Black Belts of Bulsajo TKD who were able to attend this year’s Tea Ceremony, thank you so much for coming. It was truly awesome to see you all. A special thank you to everyone who helped with setup and cleanup as well. Your help made the day much easier for my wife and me, and we greatly appreciate it.
For those who couldn’t make it this year, no worries at all, there’s always next year. I made a BB Tea Ceremony Video as usual, short but fun, and uploaded the videos to an unlisted YouTube Playlist. There will be no Kids Class or Weapons Class today, Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
I apologize for the short notice. Everyone is fine, but my attention is needed elsewhere today.
Teens & Adults:
Master Jim and Master Nathan will be running class tonight, so you are good to go. It is a sparring night, so please be sure to bring your sparring gear.
If you would like to order a Black Belt uniform, please let me know by tomorrow. I will be placing the order by the end of the day.
If you miss the window, or if the uniforms don’t arrive in time, we’ll figure it out when needed, no worries.
Tea Ceremony – January 24
If you are planning to attend the Tea Ceremony at Parks & Rec on the 24th, please let me know what you can bring for the potluck.

Our date is set!
January 24th, from 5:00–7:00 PM
Arrival Time:
All Black Belts and Bodans should arrive between 4:15–4:30 PM.
Uniforms:
• Black Belts: Please wear a black belt dobok (white uniform with black collar). I have a very limited supply available, so let me know as soon as possible if you need one. The cost is $60 for the basic black belt uniform.
• Bodans: You may wear any complete uniform color. You are also welcome to purchase a black belt dobok if you’d like. Again, please let me know ASAP.
Attendance:
All Black Belts and Bodans, please let me know if you are attending. Space is limited, but a few family members per person should be fine.
Potluck Meal:
After the ceremony, we’ll share a meal together. Please email, text, post on our Discord’s General Channel, or comment on Facebook to let us know what you can bring. I’ll start a Facebook post and keep it updated as items are claimed.
Big Bow:
Everyone attending (black belts and bodans) will need to know the “Big Bow.” I’ll cover this during class or after class and review it again at the ceremony.

I hope you are all ready for what this year brings and what you choose to bring to it. We have a few updates as we kick things off, so please read below.
Back to Classes
We are back to classes this week at the YMCA and Goffstown Parks and Rec. I am excited to see everyone again and hopefully meet some new faces too. This will be a basics focused week, helping students review fundamentals while continuing to move toward their next rank.
Black Belt Tea Ceremony
The belts are on their way. They are later than I hoped, but they are coming. Because of that, the Tea Ceremony will not be on the 10th as originally planned and will take place later this month. I do not have a firm date just yet, but I will announce it as soon as it is set.
This is also a reminder that all black belts need a Black Belt Uniform for the ceremony. This is the white uniform with a black collar. Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to order one.
Discord Server
After some thought, I decided to set up a Discord server for the school. Discord is an online community space where members can chat, share updates, and stay connected outside of class. It is optional and best suited for students who are already familiar with the platform.

Part two testing is underway and going strong. We’ll be wrapping it up this week just in time for our holiday break. Please remember to wear a full uniform, if you own one. Stay focused, and try your best. You’ve got this!
There will be no classes from Monday, December 22, 2025 through Sunday, January 4, 2026 at both the YMCA and Goffstown Parks & Rec.
Enjoy the break, but don’t forget to work in a little training here and there, I know I will. Most importantly, slow down and enjoy time with your friends and family.

No worries! We will complete all remaining testing next week (the week of the 15th) during our regular class times.
Because we’ll be tight on time, we may not do sparring for every class, but please bring your sparring gear just in case.
Parents and adult students, please don’t forget to take care of the testing fee.

If you don’t have a dobok yet, just wear comfortable clothing you can train in.
